Fun: 5. 0 out of 5 stars I have a feeling that many will take up this game and was initially disappointed. They may feel that the game does not fully track their movements. Or that when you try to swing in a certain way, is not reflected in the game. Now the game is not perfect, and some of these frustrations are real.
On the other hand, I sincerely hope that you continue with it and not give up. If you spend some time with the game you will soon realize how brilliant and addictive it is. The point that comes to this realization will probably be when you are able to achieve some consistency in your swing and direct the ball wherever you go, and give me advice on this at the end of this review.
I will say this – especially this game is very, very funny. Some of the demonstrations that have or play with friends online while trapped in your mind long after the party has won or lost. You agonize over the bar. And the winners will be remembered. In that sense, this game captures the essence of what is good for tennis.
This is an addictive game that allows return to play until your arm hurts (and believe me, if it is not used to exercise his injured arm).
As I said, no, this game is perfect. Career mode should be more elaborate. Online games, great in themselves and are usually open late, no tournament modes. And even if they have mastered the controls are sometimes frustrating. But it's tennis.
Here are some tips for achieving good control on the Grand Slam tennis with the Wii MotionPlus. If you wait for that game comes to your door, I recommend that you keep them handy for reference, since it is very likely to be helpful to start playing:
-Note that the (imaginary) off the bat is part of the Wiimote. It would mean that the majority want the Wiimote be parallel to the floor while turning (ie, the buttons facing the ceiling). Index finger should be on the "B" and the thumb should be on the "A".
USE changes (this is not Wii Sports Tennis, you can just wiggle, do you really need to bring your arm back). This may sound like a fact, but is actually one of the most difficult to understand if they have become accustomed to the Wii Sports tennis.
up your swing as soon as possible (only when the ball hit by his opponent, and set the direction it goes), and complete when the ball has reached you. Master this art to significantly improve your game and even fewer cases of WM + is confused as to whether you're working with a backhand or forehand.
"If you think that it is only capable of backspin / topspin issue is likely with the wrist to keep up with – you rotate it. Go to the practice court and work with it.
"If it seems only able to cut the need to work to maintain its level of oscillation. Trust me, you can paste directly – go to the practice court and work with it.
-When you are waiting for the other type of service, hold the Wiimote and continues parallel to the ground, do not worry about what your character on screen does.
Years of service in GST is not 1:1 – it is the same as Wii Sports tennis. You swing the Wiimote when the ball is at its apex. You can control the direction of pull (while the ball is in the air) with the d-pad.
- You can use balloons and candy for "a" and "B" buttons.

Fun: 4th 0 out of 5 stars I have been in Grand Slam Tennis and Virtua Tennis for one day and play about 3 hours each. I played tennis in years. I'm using MotionPlus.
Here is a comparison.
Tournament Mode: Grand Slam wins a landslide victory — I play Grand Slam Tennis Grand Slam tour and do some shows. No stupid "racing cart" as in Virtua Tennis. This part of Virtua Tennis is very annoying. I do not want to run around a courtyard shopping and arbitrary jump through the arc in order to play in a tournament. This part of Virtua was so upset that Virtua 5-star and 4 stars for me. Grand Slam Exhibition / mini-games are fun, but Virtualization is annoying. On the other hand, you can press "play" and a tournament in Virtua but experience is not as complete as the Grand Slam.
Graphics: Virtua Tennis wins with a meter. The audience is better and the movement of the players are much more realistic style of player. The graphics are more cartoonish Grand Slam, but with the broadcasters and the angles and replays it looks more to participate in a game while watching television. . . presentation is better, but they are not for the better Virtua motion and detail.
Rate game: Virtua Tennis with a mil. Your character moves to a more realistic pace and the game is just a more entertaining, fast-action shots pace.
Controls: Grand Slam by one centimeter: Grand Slam controls are easier to master. Virtua controls have less margin of error. You must complete training by coach to master any shooting situation Virtua advanced, but then drop the shot leaves me wanting to break the driver! Grand Slam topspin, backspin, and fade more faithful to real tennis, while Virtua serve the world and Drop Shot a lot truer. Grand Slam to be "cheating" to some extent by the Nunchuck to help with his shot went, but Virtua require nails to perfection. Virtua While I appreciate the effort, sometimes my intentions are not translated, but I guess it's true in real tennis, too.
Overall experience: a tie. Really. Virtua appreciate the effort of pace and realism of control, but Grand Slam wins Top Spin and spin back nearly perfect. . . and there is a large part of the game, real tennis players. Grand Slam, you can cheat by using the button on a balloon and B to drop a shot, slams and Nunchuck to pass. Virtua has great realism and balloon control switches, but DROP SHOT is too difficult and too ambitious. The Virtua Tennis stars are more current and more comprehensive. Grand Slam offers classic stars and current stars. Virtua graphics are killer, but the career mode is like throwing Jar Jar Binks in Star Wars. . . annoying and disruptive. I want to play tennis, do not swim! Both have room for improvement, but for a virtual tennis experience of quality, so beating the "plug and play" Wii Sports. Both require some patience to learn. Again both for different reasons. 4 / 5 stars for both!
4 / 5 Grand Slam. Note: I originally gave Virtua 4 / 5 Stars. After playing more and see my warning below! And now I have to say that if we go after just one purchase of a Grand Slam.
Edit after playing both for about 1 week I can not win a game to play Virtua with Nunchuck. The intention is only to play with the remote. If you want to play a supercharged version of the rapid Wii Sports Tennis, Virtua is for you. If you want to play a game with the Nunchuck, which requires reflection, anticipation, and strategy, play Grand Slam tennis. If I could re-rate Virtua Tennis for one week. I'd give it a 2. 5 or 3 stars. If I could re-rate the Grand Slam after a week they would get 5 stars.

Fun: 4th 0 out of 5 stars I bought Tiger 10 W / Motion Plus and Grand Slam on the same day (yesterday). This is a review for advanced players. If you play w / Motion Plus and Nunchuck. . . and put it in a couple of hours. . . click for you. Many of these comments are clearly people who are waiting for a better experience Wii Sports Tennis. Not. . . and it takes a while to get used to. And many people (in the scrutiny of others) seem to think 1×1 MotionPlus will result in each scenario. . . when they do not control player movement. . . not going to happen, and it is logical that it will not happen. Before you use the Nunchuk, I found myself complaining about the same. . . My forehand and backhand play on. . . when I began to realize that the player's position relative to the ball as it directly affects your swing options available, making the right direction? Once I got used to control the player with the Nunchuck, I was responsible for everything, and it was a blast. It took a couple of hours to win my first game on the easy way. I is for 6 to 6 in one of the advantages and sweating my ass. . . but smiling all the time. Play online, perfect frame rate. The game has great rewards and great career mode to continue playing as a player. To date, more. . . I have not played game modes yet. But all this is a very deep and rewarding game if you have time. . Wii Sports is not and is not free (if you want real control). Enjoy.
