While this book may be good for an absolute first timer, it is a total waste of money for a familiar user. I purchased it in hopes of learning how to properly use the instruments for approaches/landing and the control tower. All of the lessons in the book refer you back to the “Learning Center” (on your computer) – why even bother using this book. For someone looking to have a paper reference to coach them through something, this book is not it! I wanted a step by step lesson and it gave me “try the Learning Center. ” It also skips over a lot of the key steps and assumes you already know how to do certain things. What makes this book even worse is that it doesnt even provide a list of common commands. My advice: Don’t Bother.
Nearly everything in the book is just a re-hash of information that is in the learning center section of Flight Simulator. More depth and breadth of information is needed to merit purchasing this book.
You can play Fs2004 without this, but if you really want to get the most of the simulator you should have it because have a lot of extra information. and If you like to fly and all concerned with aviation it is a good idea for your collection. 200 and more pages.
